Yep, that's me!  In the late 80's, I was my father's first personal assistant helping him post his first sale listing as a real estate agent.  I looked angry because I was missing an awesome episode of He-Man, but till now, I didn't know this was a monumental moment for my father's real estate career.  What joy and what acheivement!  You see, times were a lot different then.  Today, listings are grabbed by the dozens and out of that bunch, you would be lucky to sell one not to mention, if it's a short sale.  In those days, if you got one listing--it's time to bring out the glasses and champagne because that listing was good as SOLD!   In those days, you needed to have a certain greatness filled with passion to thrive as an agent since there were so little tools available.  The MLS sheets were updated weekly through one main book in each real estate office.  The integrity of a purchase contract was solely reliant on how legible an agent's handwriting was.  If you were lucky, you had a typewriter, that only a few tried to use but the frustration was too great; that ciphering an agent's penmanship was a better choice.  No Internet, No Craigslists, No Facebooks,  No Postlets, No Twitters, No Youtubes.  Just the Fred Flinstone influenced MLS, word of mouth, good old, black and white paper flyers, and the Sunday newspaper.  You see in those good old days, the agents that were successful, were the most talented agents that ever walked this planet! Hands down. Especially, compared to our agents today!  They were successful without OUR tools.   Can you imagine if they had access to OUR unlimited technology combined with their raw talent, harnessed along with the strength of OUR social media marketing techniques?!  The term, Sky's the limit would be such an under statement. 

Today, everything is so different!  A fax machine is too slow compared to what we want to do!  We need it now!  With a click of a button, your MLS listing numbers are generated.  Social Media marketing is instrumental to any agent's success!  What our agents in the past, had to do and wait for weeks--we, literally, do it NOW with a click of a button!  It's simply amazing.
